𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝘀𝗲𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿.𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘀𝗲t 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲. 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 - 𝗮𝗹𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗮𝗹.

Student Councils are a great way for students to take on leadership roles, promote the voice of the student body, solve problems and impact their community. A council serves as the voice for an entire student body and actively works with teachers and advisors to promote a better learning environment.

To elect the Student Council, a political campaign was organized.

Our volunteers did canvassing to create awareness about themselves among students.

Canvassing is the systematic initiation of direct contact with individuals, commonly used during political campaigns. The volunteers created their posters in order to develop relations and to make children know them in a better way. They also made vote appeal and Introductory videos so that students could know them in a better way and could select the worthy candidates for representing their Houses. They made their own Slogans, recited them and asked their supporters also to recite those slogans for them. Students also showed their support by creating posters for them. <.p>

They asked questions from the candidates. An interview round was also kept so that the volunteers could express their thoughts very clearly to their House Members. 𝗩𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 is not only an important part of student election, but also a very important part of any democracy. By voting, our students participated in the Democratic process. They voted for leaders to represent them and their ideas, and in turn, the elected leaders supported the students' interests.

Students voted via Google Forms. Everyone was very excited and enthusiastic to vote for the candidate they considered deserving. It was a novel and amazing experience to elect the Student Council in an online platform……..but we did it !!

INVESTITURE CEREMONY 2024-25

NLK Academy successfully conducted the Investiture Ceremony on 20th July 2024.

The event commenced with a stirring motivational song that set an inspiring tone for the proceedings. At the ceremony, Principal, Ms. Punita Tuteja extended her gratitude to the dignitaries with a thoughtful token of appreciation and also by welcoming the proud parents of our Student Governing Association and our Special Guest Ms. Sanchita Kapoor, following which the newly elected Student Governing Association was formally invested with their responsibilities through the presentation of sashes and badges. Each member of the council stood tall, embodying the values and spirit of leadership that our school cherishes and they solemnly took the oath pledging to serve their peers and upholding the ethos of school with pride. The ceremony was embraced by inspiring speech of the Principal emphasizing the essence of leadership and creating positive environment. The ceremony continued with a thought-provoking skit on Mother Earth, underscoring the importance of environmental stewardship and our collective responsibility to protect and nurture our planet. The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by the Head-Mistress, Ms. Amita Kalra, expressing gratitude to all who contributed to making the ceremony a success. Finally, we stood united as a school community to sing the National Anthem, a fitting end to a memorable day that celebrated leadership, responsibility and environmental consciousness.
